The department of History in M. A College, established in 1979, presently offers a B. A programme in History. During an academic year, it caters to the academic needs of 40 students (sanctioned strength) specializing in History, 40 more students through complementary (subsidiary) courses and another 25 students through open courses. Presently there are 3 permanent teaching staff and a guest faculty in the department.
