The faculty include 5 Ph. D holders. The members of the faculty have so far published a number of books and articles in reputed journals. Several International/national and state level seminars/ webinars are being conducted by the department regularly. In 2006 the postgraduate department of Economics was recognized as a research Centre in Economics of M G University. The department celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in the year 2017-18.
