DSpace Community: The department of Biochemistry was established in the year 2005. The department offers the post-graduate course in Biochemistry (Self-financing). Biochemistry deals with the chemistry of life, about the principles governing the interactions of individual molecules, and how those same principles apply at the scale of cells and living organisms. The curriculum is designed to provide students with a broad understanding across multiple disciplines in Bioscience during the first year. The courses are offered in collaboration with the Departments of Biotechnology and Microbiology. The second year of the programme deals with more advanced study of Biochemistry.
